8 Street’s first venues now open

With 28 more to come.

Surfers Paradise is quickly becoming known for a diverse array of foodie venues with no sign of slowing down anytime soon. Asian dining precinct 8 Street is the latest to be added to the fray with two restaurants to open this week.

With an extremely popular sister venue of the same name in Brisbane, the epic food haven will bring an authentic global dining experience to Surfers Paradise, transforming Cavill Lane into a colourful, bustling hawkers market, reminiscent of a Shanghai laneway.

Which is perfect, because food markets are life and bring on the over indulgence comas.

Ramen Danbo and Sharetea will throw open their doors just in time for the Commonwealth Games this week with Touch of India, Dumpling Mama and Ace Thai welcoming your hungry selves from next month.

Loved all over the world, Ramen Danbo will bring tasty, traditional tonkotsu (made with pork marrow/bone) ramen to the precinct and for lovers of Bubble Tea, Sharetea will offer plenty of varieties of the sweet, freshly made beverage.

Ace Thai will serve up the best modern Thai cuisine while Dumpling MaMa will offer the finest variety in dumplings and congee (rice porridge).

Touch of India will provide Indian street food reminiscent of southern and northern India with fresh Naan bread and a selection of yummy sweets on offer.

They’ll join existing tenants Yum Cha Noodle Haus, Sushi Ave, Korean Kitchen, Rice V Noodle and Sky Restaurant.

So yep, that’s pretty much all your fave Asian cuisines in the one easy to stroll around area.

It’s the best of the best with vendors chosen specifically for their particular foodie talents. The prices are good, the food is better and we don’t doubt it’ll be your new favourite food haunt.

When it’s complete, 8 Street will be home to over 30 of the best Asian vendors and there’s no doubt it will become a must-visit for those who love to eat all the things, all the time (yes, hello).

Pop in this week and get immersed in the Games action while you’re there.

What a time.
