Everything that opened on the Gold Coast in April.
Hello, happy May (the FIFTH month of the year friends). Yep. 2019 has been a big year already and there’s plenty more good times to come.
Because we understand it can be hard to keep up with every single venue opening on the Gold Coast these days, we’re going to make it a bit simpler for everyone.
In honour of that, here are all the venue openings we covered throughout April.
The Terrace Bar
Found in Envy Hotel, at the Niecon Plaza in Broadbeach, The Terrace Bar is an intimate little space overlooking the mall below and bringing fresh, live music vibes to Broadbeach. And Pimms jugs. How good.
Where: Level 2, 2 Niecon Plaza, Victoria Ave, Broadbeach
Hyde Paradiso
The pretty little Mediterranean-inspired gem, overlooking the ocean in Surfers Paradise is an absolute delight with bottomless boozy brunches every weekend and one of the most Insta-worthy interiors around. Oh and the menu is tasty too. Make sure you stop by Hyde Paradiso.
Where: Peppers Soul Surfers Paradise, Level 2, 8 The Esplanade, Surfers Paradise
Baked GC
Oh sweet treats, how we love you. Particularly in fancy cupcake form. Baked GC is bringing the goods up at Runaway Bay with the fanciest (and yummiest) of cupcakes in flavours like Salted Caramel, Coco Citrus and Milli Vanilli. Get one of each.
Where: 123 Lae Drive, Runaway Bay
Aburibi
Japanese eats are some of the very best around and Nobby Beach has a newbie to add to your must-try list. Aburibi bring share-style Japanese dining with all your favourite taste sensations to try with a little fusion twist. So good.
Where: Shop 8, 28 Chairlift Ave, Nobby Beach
The Pirate Life Deck
Metricon Stadium’s new reserved seating bar offers the best view in the house on Gold Coast SUNS game day. Not to mention your ticket includes delicious eats and a sweet interior to feast your eyes upon. Highly recommend next time you’re going to the footy.
Where: Metricon Stadium, Nerang Broadbeach Rd, Carrara
Stone & Wood Brewing
Byron’s famous brewers opened their sparkly new space a few weeks ago and what a treat it is. Stone & Wood’s new brewery boasts a bar, tours and canteen-style eats and it’s the perfect spot for an afternoon of brews after a day in the Byron sunshine.
Where: 100 Centennial Circuit, Byron Bay
Barcode Espresso
A newbie for The Oasis Broadbeach, Barcode Espresso is bringing a whole new vibe to the people of Broadbeach. Boasting simple food, done well, the brunch spot is the perfect place to stop off after a morning of shopping up a storm.
Where: Level 1, The Oasis Shopping Centre, Surf Pde, Broadbeach
Nook Espresso
Our beloved Nook Espresso opened the doors to their shiny new space at Stockland Burleigh Heads recently and it’s a little beauty. Slinging some of the best coffee on the Coast, plus acai bowls and a few tasty takeaway treats, get there and show the absolute legends some love.
