Sea World unveils a new precinct & two epic new rides!
Strap yourselves in (literally) for one helluva a ride. Two in fact.
Everyone’s fave theme park, our beloved Sea World, has out-awesomed itself with the launch of a brand new precinct and two humdinga rides. The New Atlantis, home to the Vortex ride, has unveiled The Leviathan and Trident and srsly, just let us at ‘em already!
The Leviathan, other than sounding totally badass, is a timber-iffic wooden coaster throwing icon vibes for days. With exhilarating banked turns, crossovers, drops and dips, this is the GC’s answer to every thrill-seeker’s prayers #amen.
The 32-metre high, 90-second heart-stopper (not literally this time) is suitable for the whole family, but here’s the hot tip; beat your mini-me’s and bags the two rear facing seats for the ultimate buzz #notsozkids.
Thundering along the 909-metre track and clocking up speeds of 80km per hour, it’s perfect for those who love a healthy dose of adrenalin, sans the sheer terror of the hairier coasters.
No less than 183,000 linear metres of timber were used to construct this monster, and we’re back to literal referencing again coz the ‘head’ of the coaster is a Leviathan-vibing sea monster.
Also in the spotlight on Friday is the new Trident attraction. This epic three-pronged spear standing loud and proud in the heart of The New Atlantis is more than just the tallest landmark at Sea World.
It allows you to defy gravity, soar and spin freely 42-metres above the ground. Not for those prone to a bout of height phobia, it’s perfect for families and one helluva way to see the Gold Coast from a bird’s eye perspective.
These world-class rides are complemented with insanely cool ride theming and immersive guest experiences. Open just in a nick of time for the onslaught of Christmas crowds and holiday makers, The New Atlantis is a unique and very welcome addition to this ever-popular theme park and destination for fun.
