Gold Coasters, there’s an up and coming culinary underdog in our midst.
Foodie prospects are officially on the up in the suburb of Molendinar – hot on the heels of beloved Bake House Gozen’s arrival earlier this year – is yet another delicious nosh spot, Janus Deli.
The fresh new kid on Molendinar’s block comes courtesy of a name Gold Coasters will be very familiar with, as this delightful new savoury sibling joins the D Point Ten family.
The owner duo are certainly on a roll, with the new deli concept joining three other bricks-and- mortar locations in their portable eats empire.
The strategic bakeover has been rolling out across the Coast since they launched their first sweet-laden shopfront back in 2018, eventually doughing on to expand to Pacific Fair, Varsity Lakes and Hope Island.
With their donut dreams realised, Dean and Ryan set their sights on their next culinary quest of creating ‘simple yet incredible sandwiches’.
Speaking of which, a little pre-planning may be required to take on this menu and some of those stacked monster subs. Our suggestions? Come hungry, and… consider bringing your own bib.
Traditionalists will delight in classic deli combos such as the Ruben-adjacent Moo-Licious – made with Corned beef, sauerkraut, pickles, swiss cheese, Janus sauce, sourdough.
Though the simplicity of the A Hammy Moment – made with Leg ham, swiss cheese, mozzarella, mayo, sourdough may pose a quandary we can hardly ham-dle.
