Free Christmas Events at The Strand

Festive Fun is here and The Strand has something for everyone this silly season!

The Strand at Coolangatta invites families, friends, and the community to experience the joy of the holiday season with Festive Fun, a calendar of Christmas-inspired events and activities! Starting Thursday 28 November and continuing throughout December, visitors can immerse themselves in the spirit of Christmas with free entertainment, workshops*, and fun activities designed to create lasting memories with loved ones.

As the holiday calendar unfolds, guests can participate in an exciting lineup of FREE* activities that the whole family will enjoy:

• Thursday 28 November | 11AM – 12:40PM | Mastery Schools Australia Show Choir: Start the holiday season with a heartwarming choir performance that will fill the Centre with the sounds of classic Christmas carols. MSA’s Gold Coast Show Choir combines all three Gold Coast campuses: Coolangatta, Varsity Lakes, and Southport.
• Saturday 7 December | 10AM – 12PM | Wreath Making Workshops*: Craft your own beautiful holiday wreaths in these creative workshops, adding a personal touch to your festive decor! *$5 Booking fee required. Tickets are limited and will sell out quickly. Book HERE

• Saturday 14 December | 11am – 11:50AM | Voice Weaver Choir: Join us for a vibrant community choir of all ages, based in Tweed Heads and Coolangatta. Known for their beautiful a cappella harmonies, they bring a unique and soulful sound to every performance, spreading holiday cheer through music.
• Saturday 14 December | 10AM – 12:00PM | Gingerbread House-Making Workshops*: Build and decorate your gingerbread house masterpiece to take home, perfect for kids and adults alike! *$5 Booking fee required. Tickets are limited and will sell out quickly. Book HERE

• Friday 20 – Tuesday 24 December | 10AM – 1PM | North Pole Bake House Workshop for Kids: This workshop offers five days of unique food crafts where even the littlest Santa’s helpers can join in the fun of baking! Free for all ages, no bookings required.
• Sunday 22 December | 11AM – 12PM | Coolangatta Ukulele Group Performance: Enjoy the unique and cheerful sounds of the Coolangatta Ukulele Group, bringing all your favourite classic holiday tunes with a twist!
