The Gold Coast just keeps getting better and better. This weekend you can literally walk into a party like you’re walking onto a yacht, no need to be vain about it.
Why? The Australian Superyacht Rendezvous is in town and that’s excellent for two reasons. The first is that rendezvous is a great word to describe what’s no doubt going to be an even better party and the second is superyachts galore, Gold Coasters.
On April 20th and 21st the epic rendezvous will take place at Gold Coast City Marina and Shipyard and we’re moving on up in the world.
One superyacht in particular is the $10milliom, 31.5 metre Oneworld, Australia’s newest and most exciting charter yacht, currently on its way to us from Dubai, city of many superyachts (probably). Oh and charter meaning you can hire Oneworld for a big old party should that be your jam (and you’ve got a spare $3k to splurge per hour).
The purpose of the custom-designed superyacht is to host corporate and private events in the form of a six-star Mediterranean-style service. So it’s a traveling private resort with a full concierge and capabilities for next-level parties.
Oneworld features five onboard suites – each with their own ensuite bathroom – and can accommodate 12 guests on an opulent three-night escape for just $49,000. The ultimate sleepover.
Former hotelier and racecar driver Rod Salmon is Oneworld’s owner and his wife Kylie designed the stunning interior, drawing on years of interior design experience in the hotel and hospitality industries.
Of course, there’s an onboard chef and full staff for overnight charters and if anyone’s planning an extremely extravagant party, we’re free to attend. Thanks in advance.
Superyachts attending this year’s Australian Superyacht Rendezvous include Antalex, Atlantic Princess, Aurora, Aus Pro, Corroboree, Crystal Blue, Deep Blue, La Bella Vita, Lady Pamela, Mary Rose, Masteka 2, Murcielago, Mystic Tide, Oneworld, Pacific Quest, Patriot 1, Relentless and Silentworld.
All of which are no doubt absolutely awe-inducing.
The 2018 Australian Superyacht Rendezvous will see four events, including an industry round table, superyacht industry networking event, an “open decks” showcase of superyachts and a super glamorous VIP cocktail event. To attend you MUST pre-register here.
Fun fact: the Gold Coast City Marina and Shipyard is the largest facility of its kind in the southern hemisphere and the capacity for more than 50 superyachts at one time. Which is lucky because they’re on the way.
It’s a really exciting time to be a Gold Coaster and we are pretty pumped that such extravagant folks are choosing to alight upon our shores.
Yay us.
