It’s back and hotter than the inside of a supercar
It’s back and hotter than the inside of a supercar
The rebirth of events canned or shelved while ‘ole Rona spread her gloom and doom here, there and everywhere continues, and it’s seriously gone from the famine to the feast. Whilst we’re still inclined to sign up for the opening of an envelope to expel those two years of pent-up social nothingness, there are certain events which really get our engines vrooming.
Yes friends, it’s time to start gearing up for one of our most iconic homegrown event supernovas from Friday 28th October until Sunday 30th October, The Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500. No that’s not a typo – it’s now five hunji not six and whilst it may have shed 100kms of track, buckle up GC coz this year’s instalment has only two speeds; fast and faster! We’ve always had epic feels for this event’s solid party vibes and side note, we just realised race car spelt backwards is still race car #mindblown.
For the first time since 2019, the Repco Supercars Championship is bringing us an event entertainment line-up guaranteed to make up for lost time and rev-olutionise the way we celebrate car racing. We don’t want to give away too many ‘spoilers’, but there is more on and off-track action than you can poke a fuel bowser at. Jam packed with frivolity for people of all ages, it’s the Gold Coast’s biggest party yet and you’d be wheely crazy to miss it.
Some of Australia’s hottest DJs and international stars will take to the Club 500 stage on Macintosh Island on all three evenings, ensuring the after dark festivities don’t miss a beat. Get your hip hop on with Bliss n Eso on Friday 28th and boogie the night away with world champion turntablist DJ Total Eclipse. Leave some fuel in the tank though because you’re doing it all again the next night…and the one after that #EatRacePartyRepeat.
Carl Cox, the man synonymous with Ibiza and Eric Powell, the DJ-producer who basically pioneered techno, are bringing their hugely successful Mobile Disco to the glitter strip on Saturday 29th *insert dancing emojis. Then, channel your inner 19-year-old-self for a third consecutive night of trackside partying and no, we don’t care if you’re tyre-d coz the final night is lit.
On Sunday 30th October, naughties icons Sneaky Sound System are headlining, and we saw a UFO and no one believed us either. Add Kota Banks belting out her infectious bangers and bae-town Brooke Evers on the decks, and it will be well worth the Berocca-fest on Monday morning.
But that’s not even the best part, because all entertainment is included as part of a same day event ticket to the Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 – talk about bang for your buck. If you’re bringing your tribe, there’s more good news with kiddos aged 12 and under scoring free General Admission with a paying adult. This means more in the kitty for official merch, and that’s hubby’s and dad’s Christmas presents sorted right there.
Don’t be that person who leaves it too late to book and misses out, coz that would really grind your gears. Starting at $72 per adult, put yourself in pole position for a long weekend to remember and grab your tickets now.
Now, buckle up for some foodie news we’re Greek-ing out over. Hellenika is making its return to the Gold Coast in a new corporate lounge experience right on the Beach Chicane. Hellenika x Supercars will fill that Zucchini Chip sized hole that’s been missing in our Gold Coast lives for four long years. Think full-day curated Mykonos inspired grazing paired with some of the best seats in the house. This collab has all revved up! You can get more information on the corporate suite offerings here.
