The good people behind coffee institution Blackboard have been brewing up something new and we just know you’ll be happy to hear they’re calling the Hinterland home.
As the brainchild of one of the Gold Coast’s best coffee institutions, you just know Café by Blackboard is destined for deliciousness since its doors opened to the community this month.
Just off the highway – perfect for when you need a quick caffeine hit before you make that trek to Brisbane or Byron – Café by Blackboard is nestled in the heart of the new Skyridge Estate and locals already love it a latte. No surprises there.
With over 13 years of experience under their aprons, it was about time the crew gave us a new solid brew on the other side of great dividing highway.
Coffee snobs – we mean, afficionados – will be stoked to smell the familiar scent of Blackboard’s signature brew so you can sip on the perfect velvety latte or iced filter coffee to kick start the day.
With the Skyridge Estate officially underway, there’s about to be a whole heap more people calling Worongary, and the Gold Coast, home so it’s only fitting that means more epic eats on the horizon and we can’t espresso how excited that makes us.
The legends at Café by Blackboard have brought the distinct modern and industrial feel from their sister café, so from the moment you step up to order there’s a sense of familiarity and belonging. You feel like you’ve been there before as you’re greeted by their friendly faces.
The laidback vibe makes it the perfect spot to stop and stay for a solid feed or grab and go if you’re on the run, either way, there are loads of options to curb your hunger.
They heard there was a bagel shaped hole in your heart (and stomach) so they’ve been working on perfecting the ultimate recipe so you can get your fix on the reg. Plain and simple? You got it. Loaded with fresh fillings like salmon (obviously), pastrami or falafel? Say less.
But of course bagels aren’t the only thing on the menu – even if they are our hero – they’ve curated a menu loaded with everything from carby goodness to wholefoods for the health conscious.
Dip into a classic acai bowl complete with house made granola, fresh seasonal fruit and coconut yoghurt, topped with Nutella or peanut butter – excuse us while we drool just thinking about it – or give a vegan option a go with their signature chia and granola pot.
Of course, no café menu is complete without a side of smoothies – our pick? The Peanut Butter with the perfect combo of banana, coconut yoghurt and chocolate coconut water, add protein if you’re all about that #fitspo life.
Guess we’ll be calling this new Hinterland hotspot home for the foreseeable future!
