The silly season may be done and dusted (RIP), but it doesn’t mean back-to-back vanilla home hangs for here on-in. We’re all for community service announcements, so to prevent a pandemic of February FOMO, grab your phone, pull up your calendar (cheers Siri), and get ready for the ultimate fun fix all month long, courtesy of The Star Gold Coast.

If you’re a comedy head, you’ll love Aussie comedian and social media sensation Ibby Akbar’s “I Am” debut comedy tour (tickets from $35.65). Or for another fix of LOLs and ROFLs, you can’t miss the hilarious Sooshi Mango’s newest live show offering Off The Boat. We’re talking sell-out-fast-funny here, so phone a friend pronto and lock it in Eddie (tickets from $60)!

For those who love a stroll down musical memory lane, The Star Gold Coast has you covered too. Experience David Bowie’s greatest hits in a spectacular orchestral tribute, with special guest vocalists in We Can Be Heroes – The Music Of Bowie Orchestrated (tickets from $59.90). Or, if the almighty Aretha is more your cup of tea, journey through her courageous life of love, tragedy, tunes and triumph with RESPECT – The Aretha Franklin Story (tickets $78.75).

Nowhere serves up (FREE) summer vibes quite like Live On The Lawn at Garden Kitchen & Bar and February is no exception. Join electronic Melbourne duo Kult Kyss for ‘Kill That Beat’, the latest in a string of dance floor anthems bringing a dose of euphoria and escapism. Our bodies are ready!

Catch multiple ARIA Award winner (and one half of dance music institution The Presets) K.I.M, aka Kim Moyes, spinning up a storm like only he knows how. And good news for fans of Aussie DJ and producer Lowdown, who’ll be taking to the green mixing up his hard-hitting dance tracks with bangers from the electronic world.

If something a little less doosh-doosh is more your scene, Sunday Sessions are sorted with GC based and hotly renowned McKenzie Band. Performing hits from the 50’s to today, they’re seasoned pro’s at revving up the crowd with their high energy set.

And let’s not forget The Star summer faves like Cin Cin at Cucina Vivo where you can sip spritzers, graze on Italian bites and enjoy DJ’s Café del Mar vibes. Or why not Rosé Your Way around throughout the precinct, enjoying a delicious glass of rosé paired with an irresistible snack at each stop.

You can always Graze On The Lawn, soaking up the rays and cruisy tunes with a delicious grazing box or platter. Finally, a special mention to Sake Flights at Kiyomi, inviting you to enjoy a tasting experience of Japan’s finest sake in Kiyomi Bar’s Sake Lounge (from $45).

Want to know more? We have you sorted. Read all about the Summer sipping action here.
