GOLD COASTERS!! As an official world-first, the Gold Coast is set to get its very own Underwater Rollercoaster. And yes, you read that right.

As the theme park capital of Australia, it made total sense when Destination Gold Coast revealed its big plans to launch a fully immersive underwater experience right here in our backyard. With construction set to commence shortly and the one-kilometer monstrosity set to launch in April 2023, boy are we ready to deep dive for this!

The multi-million-dollar investment will stretch a total of 40m tall, with it being 20m above the ocean surface at full tide. The beauty of the whole experience is each of the 24 riders on the rollercoaster will be able to enjoy the elements in which surround the construction including: local marine life, coral vistas and of course the sea breeze and the Pacific Ocean.

Destination Gold Coast’s Head of Travel Transformation, Skip Oceanman said; “The Deep Dive will be the first of its kind and showcases that Gold Coast is not just Australia’s Favourite Playground, but the world’s favourite playground.”

He continues to outline how it won’t be a ride exclusively for the young and brave, but for those young at heart too! “We are known for our sand and surf, as well as our theme parks. It was time we combined these into the most epic attraction,” said Mr Oceanman.
