The Star Gold Coast has food, music, sport and everything in between!
Ok so it’s officially freezing and we need something to lift our moods, inspire an outfit change out of tracky daks teamed with at least 3 jumpers, and snap us out of hibernation mode. Who can we rely on to help us achieve all of the above, and surely we all know the answer to this by now because it’s kinda #obvs. We’re looking to our social life saviours over at The Star Gold Coast because they never fail us, and this July, August and September are certainly no exception.
With a super charged 3 months of fun, we don’t know where to look first with more awesome sports events, delicious dining deals and special events than you can ‘poker’ a stick at (ba-dum tisch).
Dal Zotto Prosecco Long Lunch
The immensely popular bi-monthly Dal Zotto Prosecco Long Lunch at Cucina Vivo is back on Saturday 23rd July. Not for the faint-hearted, this two-and-a-half-hour degustation transports you to the back streets of Southern Italy with an assortment of share-style meals and of course, the hero of the lunch Dal Zotto’s Pucina Prosecco. Tickets are $95 per person and here’s a free hot tip: wear your stretchy pants.
State of Origin Game 3 – The Decider
Ok let’s talk Wednesday 13th July’s decider coz #MaroonIsOurFaveColour. Whether you’re keen on a Sports Bar vibe…perhaps even with your own private booth, or some lawn sesh feels at Garden Kitchen & Bar, The Star has footy feed specials, guest MC’s, prizes, giveaways, and live entertainment galore. Entry is free but bookings are required to secure a booth or a picnic table.
Fire Pits on The Lawn
Nothing says winter hangs like an exclusive fire pit, available every Friday, Saturday and Sunday until 30th September. Visualise a toasty crackling fire, live entertainment, cheeseboards, mouth-watering bites from Container Kitchen and delectable beverages and ahhh, instant happy place. Fire pits are $195 to hire, including a $100 food and beverage credit.
Discovery (DJ Set)
Daft Punk fans head for Live on The Lawn at Garden Kitchen & Bar on Saturday 9th July for ‘Discovery’, Australia’s tribute to the French electro house legends. Complete with authentic signature gold and silver helmets, you don’t need to go “Around The World” to experience Daft Punk d-floor goodness. Entry is FREE. Insert happy face, fist pump and dance emojis!
Sunday Roast
The fact that we would ditch dinner with Tom Cruise for a Sunday Roast, especially a Sunday roast at Garden Kitchen & Bar says something about our priorities. Perfectly paired with beverages, warm your tummy every Sunday from July to September with this crowd-pleasing classic for just $55 per person. Another night we suggest you don’t wear a belt… Bookings are highly recommended.
Billecart-Salmon Champagne Dinner
For those who have a taste for the finer things in life, this ‘one night only’ affair hosted by Nineteen at The Star is unmissable. Clear your calendar on Thursday 28th of July for a world-class culinary experience with 5-courses expertly paired with Billecart-Salmon Champagne selections. The evening is $300 per person and bookings are essential.
