Life-sized dinosaurs are taking over from December 26th.
If like us, you’ve been planning your summer activities for the last 10 months you’ll be happy to know there is A LOT going on around the Gold Coast.
New venues are popping up all over the place, there’s several festivals on the way and there’ll be dinosaurs taking over Robina. Yes that’s right friends, from December 26th until January 31st Jurassic Creatures are popping up to keep us all entertained.
For the first time in Queensland, the display will take over Robina Town Centre for a not-to-be-missed month-long event, perfectly timed to coincide with the summer school holidays.
Jurassic Creatures will transport us to a land before time, transforming the area behind Event Cinemas into a prehistoric preserve where life-like beasts roam a fern-covered forest and mountainous terrain in one unforgettable experience.
This roar-some, interactive walk-through exhibition will combine state-of-the-art animatronics and archaeology to turn back the clock by millions of years and bring the ancient world of dinosaurs back to life.
Over 30 dinosaur species will be on display from the Tyrannosaurus Rex to the Triceratops and Stegosaurus, presenting you with an opportunity to get up close to these giant and realistic life-size beasts as they lumber throughout the Centre.
Jurassic Creatures will also feature a dino-mite line up of primeval-themed activities, displays and experiences for families to get involved in, including children’s rides, jumping castles, The Lost World of Smurfs and many more all included in the ticket price.
Budding palaeontologists will love chipping away at fossils in the interactive fossil digging zone, getting creative with an array of arts and crafts, catching some serious air on the dino jumping castle and frolicking in the Jurassic ball pit.
Additional exhibits to peruse include the Giant World Bug Display, Prehistoric Creatures of Ice spectacle and Fossil Exhibit. There will also be a selection of carnival games and rides, a souvenir shop, plus selfie opportunities galore.
Tickets are $35.65 for general admission; family passes are available from $117.20 (family of four), and children under three years old are free. Sessions run for 2.5 hours.
So, if you’re looking for something a little different this season, round up the kids and pay a visit to Robina Town Centre where everybody can learn something new.
