Mozza Mozza is the cheap eats hero we need.
If you’ve been attempting to get a little savvy with ‘ye olde social budget, but the insatiable appetite for Italian eats has other ideas, dare to dream those tantalising pasta and pasta dreams yet again.
Our mid-week eats hero, Mozza Mozza – the mouth-watering northern noshery keeping us plied with pizza, pasta has a couple of specials as irresistible as their signature Italian fare. Dishing up a mid-week reprieve to our cravings and our budgets in one fell swoop, they’ve done the impossible – making Italian food somehow more enticing.
A European-vibing central spot that already keeps northern residents wanting more and more, Mozza Mozza really is the gift that keeps on giving.
As Wednesday rolls around, you can officially succumb to the salacious thoughts of slick pasta and golden, bubbling cheese taking over your subconscious.
Grab two of the infamous Mozza Mozza pasta pizza bowls – aka edible pizza bowls piled with piping-hot, sauce-laden strands of the weekly pasta special – for just $40.
We’ve officially filed this combination under ‘so good it should be illegal’. We’re pining for the Truffled Mushroom Gnocchi or Lamb Ragu Rigatoni but lbh, no matter which of the weekly pasta specials are on offer on any given Wednesday, they’re all guaranteed total satisfaction #surpriseus.
A hero-dish in every sense of the word.
Every Thursday Mozza Mozza is backing up the mid-week eats deals, bestowing upon us Pizza Party Thursdays, in the form of two wood-fired-to-perfection pizzas for $35.
Head on in for a ‘pizza’ this action and pick from two of the six signature flavours on offer, all piled on top a cloud of 48-hour fermented dough (we highly recommend the Diavola, with Fior di latte, spicy salami, olives, chili honey take up one of those spots).
So gather your partners in crime dine to feast upon one of these seductive specialties for an absolute steal.
There are not many destinations in which we so willingly put our full crust, but any venue brought to us from Mr Midas of mouthwatering eats himself, Dave Galvin gets automatic free rein as far as we’re concerned.
As the local mastermind behind other top tier recreation destinations such as kōst and Crafty’s, it’s clear the guy knows a thing or two about good times.
And speaking of which, one last hot tip for you: if you haven’t finalised your Melbourne Cup plans – we would be remiss not to remind you that Crafty’s should be high on your radar as you contemplate the perfect pozzy at which to perch up and catch all the cup day action.
