There’s little doubt: when the sun is high, and you have sumptuous food in front of you, a glass of rosé wine is one of the finest things you can put to your lips. It’s simply the drink of summer… or, any other time the sun decides to shine, which is about 300 days a year for us Gold Coasters!

The Star Gold Coast is making sure your summer weekends are enjoyed to the maximum with their innovative Rosé Your Way concept. The premise is simple, enjoy four glasses of beautiful yet different rosés perfectly matched with an irresistible snack across four of their iconic venues. Fun! All you need to do, to start your afternoon adventure, is grab a $69 Rosé Passport from your first desired restaurant (it’s a choose your own adventure type situation) and away you go — the rest is up to you!

Here is what you can expect at each destination:

Garden Kitchen & Bar
As if you needed another reason to visit one of the Coast’s best loved afternoon hangout spots?! The glass of choice here is the Squealing Pig Rosé from Marlborough, New Zealand. This wine is made entirely from pinot noir grapes and, although it is still light in colour, holds complexity and is paired magnificently with two Sydney Rock Oysters dressed with a pepper berry mignonette. Perfection.

Cucina Vivo
Italians sure know how to articulate relaxed afternoons without a care in the world, and The Star’s signature Italian restaurant Cucina Vivo is no different. The wine here is a Poggio Anima Rosato from Sicily and is a fresh and herbal example of rosé grown in mineral-driven soils within a volcanic region. Two Mushroom Arancini with truffle aioli accompany the drink, meaning all you must do is enjoy the flavours and aromas engulfing you.

Nineteen at The Star
Keeping things classy is the most elevated venue across the whole entertainment precinct, Nineteen at The Star. You’ll be treated to an elegant glass of Chateau De Peyrol Rosé matched with Spiced Potato Pave and Beef Tartare. This wine is the epitome of an easy-drinking Provence style and has excellent acidity; when eaten with the meat’s richness, your tastebuds won’t know what hit them!

Atrium Bar
New location, new fit-out, but the same fun-filled atmosphere as there always was. A T’Gallant ‘Cape Schanck’ Rosé from the Mornington Peninsula awaits you with a fuller and spicier flavour profile, which suits the Tempura Prawns and chilli mayo perfectly.

Available from 2pm every Saturday and Sunday throughout summer, grab your (Rosé) Passport and let the flavours and ambiences of The Star Gold Coast take you away.
