Smashed Burgers Australia

The opening of Broadbeachs’ latest eatery flew under the radar when it opened recently but, as people who don’t let burger-related news go untold, here is the lowdown on Smashed Burgers Australia.

The little space in Niecon Plaza is simply a burger bar pumping out some of the tastiest eats around in the form of towering burgers and flavour-packed milkshakes which, in our humble opinion, is a combination for the ages.

Smashed Burgers is the baby of the crew behind Aloha Bar & Dining, found just a short walk away in a Broadbeach back street and also pumping out the mouthwatering goods.

Back to the burgers. There are five to choose from and all are fresh and delicious and come with a side of the love of our lives, fries.

They’re made with a soft Japanese milk bun and packed with Australian beef (except for the Mushie Burger of course) because you gotta have a veggie version and the freshest of salad goodness.

The Classic Burger is a mouthful of magic with two freshly minced beef patties, American cheese, salad and your choice of sauce and it’s the perfect sized bite for the slightly hungry among us.

The Big Poppa (hello friend) is all the extra things – four beef patties with three slices of American cheese plus lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles and classic sauce on a

Japanese milk bun. Yep. We’d go this one just quietly but we aren’t shy when it comes to eating.

Oh and healthy eating fans, there’s a Protein Burger with all the goodness served on iceberg lettuce so you can enjoy the taste sensation but without the guilt.

The most exciting part of course is the SECRET MENU which is even better than the regular menu (crazy right) and although we don’t want to give all the secrets away there is a burger you must eat called Homer’s BBBBBBQ with some of the best BBQ sauce you’ll ever taste.

Not to mention loaded Hangover Fries with beef, bacon, cheese, avocado and japalenos. Give us those RIGHT NOW. Please.

Word on the street is Smashed Burgers are opening a second venue in Surfers Paradise pretty soon too, so burgers for everyone.
