Good news, Gold Coasters we’ve got another global inspired adventure coming up and this time we get to experience the golden goodness that is Southern California right here in our very own backyard.
The Star Gold Coast has created yet another passport-free trip that will see The Lawn at Garden Kitchen & Bar transformed into the laidback, seaside destination that is So-Cal and we can all go sans passports and immerse ourselves in everything epic about the US’ favourite state.
Starting with a Southern Californian-inspired menu, cocktails and of course, fun festival feels.
You’ll get to immerse yourself in those Coachella vibes we’re all very much missing and dance up a storm with a variety of acts on The Lawn. Start the weekend early with Acoustic Thursdays, then dance the night away with R&B Fridays and Electro House Saturdays. Then kick back and unwind with an Acoustic Sunday sesh from 3pm.
There’ll be an amazing line-up of entertainment including Bombs Away, Havana Brown and Rave Radio. What a time.
Of course, there’ll be a delicious Southern Californian-inspired menu from the Container Kitchen on The Lawn every Thursday to Sunday, including bites like Fried Cheeseburger Dumplings, Chilled Morton Bay Bug Rolls, Crispy Eggplant Tacos and more.
Don’t miss the awesome $5 Thursdays menu from 6.30pm to 9.30pm.
To sip, Gordon’s Pink Gin has specially curated a variety of Cali-inspired cocktails.
Our picks; the ‘Coachilla’ with frozen Gordon’s Pink Gin, Strawberry Monin, sugar syrup and lemon juice and the Summer Spritz with Gordon’s Sicilian Lemon Gin, Belsazar Dry, sparkling wine, orange bitters and fresh rosemary.
All absolutely perfect for an afternoon of sipping in the sunshine.
So-Cal on The Lawn starts on Thursday January 21st and runs until Sunday February 28th. Times are 5pm until late Thursdays to Saturdays and Sunday from 3pm until late.

From the wood-fired oven there’s a Three Cheese Pizza, Hervey Bay Scallops in the Half Shell and Duck Rillette Flat Bread with smoked garlic butter, sun-dried tomato tapenade.

To drink, there are Riviera-inspired sips like the Le Grand Fizz with Grey Goose Vodka, St Germaine, Elderflower Syrup, Lime Juice and Soda Water and the French Affair Martini with Grey Goose Vodka, Limoncello, Lime Juice, Pineapple Juice and Vanilla.
Every cocktail option is an absolute delight and certain to transport you straight to St Tropez – which sounds absolutely perfect to us.
