Well prepare your tastebuds for takeoff, OOL-bound passengers – as a brand new Social Espresso location touches down at Gold Coast Airport. Which means we can kiss goodbye to bookending our next getaway with anything but the finest, barista-made brews once and for all… we can’t even espresso our excitement at this development!
The Gold Coast’s pre and post trip prospects continue to brighten infinitely, thanks to the mammoth, $500 million transformation the Gold Coast Airport is currently in the throes of.
Off the back of unveiling its slick new watering hole, The Sand Bar in recent weeks, and ahead of several more yet-to-be revealed additions slated for the Coast’s arterial transit hub; Gold Coast Airport is fast ascending into a destination in its own right.
Turning on its head the premise that airports should be a transitory limbo where tasty food and good coffee goes to die; the welcome addition of a brand new coffee window by the Social Espresso crew will undoubtedly be a total revelation among weary-eyed travellers.
Conveniently positioned outside, near international Arrivals on the southern end of the terminal, our new saviour will be slinging barista-made brews, as well as flaky pastries, fresh-toasted Jaffles and portable cafe bites on demand from 5am to 5pm daily.
And lbh, if ever there’s been a situation that calls for a perfectly-brewed cup of Joe courtesy of our resident coffee experts at Social Espresso, air travel would be it.
Renowned among local coffee-lovers for its light to medium roast profile with telltale notes of sweet milk chocolate, dried berries, and stone fruit flavour; Social Espresso’s signature blend has been keeping some of the coast’s favourite caffeination destinations plied with the good stuff; aka their expertly roasted wares for some eight years now.
