Garden Kitchen & Bar is turning up the heat for your weekend plans.
Summer is slipping its way ever so closer, folks, and all the while, the days are getting longer and the afternoons increasingly balmy. Optimum Sunday Session territory if you ask us! There are a plethora of options across the Coast, but one venue that always comes to mind has to be The Star Gold Coast’s Garden Kitchen & Bar and The Lawn.
No stranger to epic weekends of food and live music, the venue now plans on wrapping up an already epic spring the only way they know…. by throwing a medley of astonishing tunes, hit artists and mouth-watering eats every. Single. Sunday!
Yep, so expect crowd-favourite’s (and Sunday residents), McKenzie Band, along with two epic one-off music sessions thanks to Hard Fizz (yep that epic Seltzer brand) and the James Blundell Duo.
So as Seltzers has been dubbed the unofficial drink of the summer, The Star Gold Coast and iconic Gold Coast brand Hard Fizz have joined forces to create quite possibly the best Sunday sesh ever to be devised. Kicking off from 4pm Sunday 7 November, Chunky & Carter will be on the decks, before a special appearance from a Guest DJ. And we have it on good authority it is someone you really won’t want to miss!
And if that isn’t already enough, the James Blundell Duo will be taking to the stage on Sunday 14 November from 2pm to deliver you one-off duo performance with his son, Briar Blundell, in a celebration of era-defining Australian country music. Because sometimes Sundays are meant to be accompanied with some chilled tunes too!
Is it just us or do both events sound like a hella good time? And should we mention that to keep your energy up through the afternoon and into the evening, the venue’s famous Container Kitchen is also serving up a delicious range of quick and easy bites, including cheesy toasted Croque Monsieur, Garden truffled Mac n Cheese, Avocado & Prawn Tortilla Tacos, and House Smoked Salmon Skewers.
For those keen to celebrate the end of their week in style, you can head to Live on The Lawn Sunday sessions every week. Oh and don’t worry, entry and parking are entirely free. So, really what are you waiting for?
We do suggest however that you start booking stat, as you won’t want to miss your chance at the best seats in the house with picnic table’s smack bang right in the action. So, really the only thing left to do is forget that the following day is Monday!
