BantR is the latest venture by Dean and Susan Olarenshaw, who spent 20 years running the beloved Beach Shack in Currumbin. After exploring other business ventures, including F45 gyms, the pair returned to hospitality, and found the perfect spot for their new café in the space formerly occupied by Espresso Moto.
Step inside bantR and you’ll find an inviting blend of mid-century modern design with a fun pop culture twist. A striking mural of Samuel L. Jackson from *Pulp Fiction* pays homage to Dean’s favorite film, setting the tone for a lively, casual atmosphere. The café’s cool yet comfortable vibe is the perfect backdrop for good conversation and great coffee.
At bantR, the coffee is nothing short of exceptional. Served with precision and care, they exclusively use Allpress Coffee, known for its rich flavor and smooth finish. Be sure to try the signature Strawberry Matcha—an Instagram-worthy drink that’s quickly becoming a crowd favorite.
Under the guidance of Head Chef Greg Venz, bantR’s menu offers a variety of creative and delicious options.
