The Star Gold Coast just keeps on giving epic entertainment feels.
Uber and taxi drivers alike will be getting the same request on repeat this February and March because one hot locale will be dishing out entertainment on tap. Where we hear you say? The Star Gold Coast my friends. Our good times go-to, and the gift that keeps on giving.
Okay first things first – we NEED to talk about Jawbreakers because holy hilarious Batman, this iconic drag duo are set to sprinkle their glitter goodness all over the Atrium Bar on the 24th of March! Starring Melbourne queens Kali Fornikate and Sabrina Babyslut (I mean – the names ahahaha), these superstars are bringing a melting pot of dance music, theatrical performance and high-quality drag you may have previously seen across the nation at the likes of Sydney Mardi Gras, Groovin the Moo, Beyond The Valley and more!
Also in store for March, The Star Gold Coast will continue to make headlines (for all the right reasons) with performances from Just A Gent, Pirra, Kite String Tangle and many more.
Bringing things back to February, the Live on the Lawn at Garden Kitchen and Bar continues. In addition to a cool line-up of Aussie hip hop and dance artists hitting the stage, Garden Kitchen and Bar is offering a seasonal menu of delicious light meals to keep you busting a move all night long. We’re loving the Avocado & Prawn or Mexican Spiced Chicken Tacos, Fried Chicken Sandos with crisp coleslaw and fried onion rings or a bucket of fresh Queensland prawns. Drooling.
Also, don’t forget the party-starting 4-piece McKenzie Band are elevating the fun factor every Sunday with your fave songs from the 50’s to today, coz who doesn’t love a good cover band?!
For classical music lovers, don’t miss Mark Vincent and Mirusia’s From London’s West End to Broadway Orchestrated, performing with the Australian Symphony Orchestra (tickets from $89.90pp). If you can’t resist a good tribute show (same), Legends In Concert will have you bopping in your seat to the likes of Elton John, Oliva-Newton John, Elvis, Cher, Michael Jackson & Village People (tickets to a good time from just $90pp). Seven Wonders, an orchestral tribute to Fleetwood Mac is the best $59.90pp you’ll spend all summer, with hits like Dreams, Everywhere and of course, Seven Wonders. Go your own way…to The Star!
And finally on the upcoming theatre rollcall, Queen – Bohemian Rhapsody are returning with a brand-new show, featuring the rock band’s greatest hits. Yes, we are the champions…for passing on this intel.
If trivia fluffs your pillows, Trivia Tuesdays are back at the Sports Bar! With brainteasers and sizeable gift cards to be used at The Star Gold Coast up for grabs, it’s the hottest freebie in town!
Plus cracking news for those of you who can’t get enough of The Star’s Entertainment HQ action…it’s been extended! We’re talking Cin Cin at Cucina Vivo where you can sip spritzers, graze on Italian bites and enjoy the DJ’s Café del Mar vibes. The ever-popular Rosé Your Way is still going strong because, well of course it its!
And it’s still summer which means you can still Graze on the Lawn with a delish grazing board or platter, and enjoy a rare tasting experience of Japan’s finest sake at Kiyomi Bar with Sake Flights at Kiyomi.
Got all that? Good. And….you’re welcome.
