The Star Gold Coast has a lot to love this Valentine’s Day.
Looking for a GC destination offering more love and romance than The Notebook and Enrique Iglesias combined?
It’s time to bathe in your ‘special occasion’ perfume, don your fave heels (or wedges because LBH, a broken ankle is about as romantic as a Squid Games marathon), and prepare to sweep your other half off his/her feet this Valentine’s Day at The Star Gold Coast. With a number of exceptional date ideas to choose from, let’s take this from the top…. the nineteenth level in fact!
If a five-star 5-course set menu with sweeping views floats your love boat, then Nineteen at The Star is where you need to head. For $130 person, you’ll be impressed with the Natural Oysters with gin and lime granita (gin…why are you so multitalented?!) to set the mood because, well, they’re oysters and we really need not explain this any further. Then move onto the Queensland Spanner Crab, Pumpkin Risotto with toasted pepita and sage and finally, the Nougat Parfait with strawberry sorbet and basil. Oooh la la!
The ever-popular Garden Kitchen & Bar always delivers a memorable dining experience, and Valentine’s is no exception. Priced at $130 for two, enjoy a shared set menu of Sydney rock oysters, citrus cured salmon, a smoked duck salad, beef tenderloin with potatoes and an indulgent chocolate dessert. Those who can’t go past the a la carte menu are catered for too and hold the bus, because we haven’t mentioned their cocktails and what is actually wrong with us? A cocktail here is a rite of passage – and a V Day staple if you ask us!
Italians do a lot of things well, and frankly, food and romance are top of that list. For $75 per head, Cucina Vivo is serving an Italian feast to make your taste buds sing (most likely That’s Amore). Inspired by the cliff-top restaurants of the Amalfi Coast, the generous degustation menu features classic Italian dishes and flavours such as their entrée Vitello Tonnato (medium rare roasted veal) with tuna mayonnaise, capers and grissini. Let’s also give a collective round of applause for their Milly Hill Saddle of Lamb with Agro dolce, cavolo nero with lamb jus. And it wouldn’t be a trip to Cucina Vivo without a Taste of Italy in the form of their tasty Tiramisu.
If Japanese is more your love language, Kiyomi has not one, but two exclusive V-Day offers. Indulge in 16 pieces of Valentine Sashimi with The Star Oscietra caviar for $88, and complement that nicely with their Matcha White Chocolate Fondant with coffee soil and vanilla ice cream for just $20. Ok wow, we are drooling.
Finally, let’s talk about something non-foody and more ‘feely’! Bringing harmonious balance to the body, inspiring romance a-plenty, Azure Spa and Fitness is offering the ultimate treat for the entire month of February. Choose from a couple’s 60-minute massage and glass of bubbly each for $350, or indulge yourself with a $150 hour-long massage and glass of sparkling. Better yet, round up the girls for a Galentine’s get-together you’ll all love!
At The Star Gold Coast this Valentine’s Day, all you need is love – and a booking!
